Marine Media · For Charter Operators

booksyour season.

Why It Matters

Customers book
charters from
the feed first.

By the time a vacationer calls you, they’ve already watched five of your reels.

Charter booking has shifted dramatically. Most customers research and shortlist on Instagram and TikTok before they ever open FareHarbor or your website. They’re watching reels at a kitchen table in Ohio imagining themselves on your boat — and whichever operator’s content makes that fantasy most vivid gets the booking.

Charter media is fundamentally lifestyle content with a boat in it. Sun, friends, drinks, fish, golden hour on the water — the feeling of being on vacation. That’s what we build at every charter shoot.

What Charter Content Looks Like

Three formats that
actually book trips.

01

Hero Reel

The 30-60 second vertical that lives at the top of your Instagram, plays on your FareHarbor listing, and runs as a pinned post.

Vertical 9:16 · 60 sec
02

Episode Reels

A library of shorter cuts — sunset trips, fishing days, dolphin sightings, snorkel stops — tailored to each charter type you offer.

Vertical · 15-30 sec each
03

Long-Form Promo

The 90-second wide cut that lives on your website, YouTube, and Google Business profile — the closer for customers already on the fence.

Wide 16:9 · 90 sec
Delivered For

Sized for every
booking channel.

A FareHarbor listing video has different specs than an Instagram reel. We deliver every version.

Each charter shoot is exported as multiple cuts for exactly the platforms your customers find you on — no re-editing, no awkward crops.

Charter Questions

Before
the shoot.

Do I need talent for the shoot, or do you provide it?

Best charter content uses real customers on real trips — we can shoot during one of your scheduled trips with the customers’ consent (which we obtain on-site, and most happily agree). Alternatively, we can coordinate with you to bring “model” guests — friends, family, regulars — for a dedicated content day.

Yes — we’re transparent about the shoot, get verbal consent before filming, and shoot in a way that doesn’t disrupt the experience. Most customers love being part of the content — we offer them copies of the photos as a thank-you.

Charter content lives or dies on golden hour. Sunset and sunrise trips produce the most viral content; midday trips are good for fishing action and dolphin sightings. We schedule around the lighting and the activity that matches your charter type.

We typically shoot the full charter trip — from boarding to disembarking — which is usually 3-6 hours depending on your trip length. The longer time on-board produces more usable content for the cost.

Yes — sportfishing and inshore fishing charters are some of the most engaging content we produce. We coordinate with the captain to capture the fights, the catches, and the customer reactions without interfering with the trip.

Same-day teaser cuts are available on retainer packages. Standard delivery is 48-72 hours for the full content library so you have material to drip out over weeks.

Same rule as your charter business — we reschedule for the next available calm window at no charge. Marine weather is a known variable in this work.

Yes — for charter operations with multiple vessels, we can coordinate a multi-boat content day or schedule shoots across each vessel as part of a retainer. Each boat gets its own dedicated content library.
