Emma’s Bayhouse is a bed and breakfast on Mobile Bay in Fairhope, Alabama, a few minutes from downtown Fairhope. It hosts overnight guests, weddings and events, and it has been featured in Southern Living and Travel + Leisure. We photographed and filmed it from the ground and the air.

About Emma’s Bayhouse

The inn sits at 202 South Mobile Street with direct views over the bay. Here is what guests and event planners get:

  • Four individually named guest rooms
  • Direct views of Mobile Bay from the porches, the sunroom and the lawn
  • Wedding venue and event space
  • Double porches on the bay side, plus a brick porch with rocking chairs
  • Minutes from downtown Fairhope shopping and dining

You can book a stay on the Emma’s Bayhouse website.

From the air, the bay behind the house tells the story before anyone reads the listing.

Why the drone does the heavy lifting

From the street, Emma’s Bayhouse looks like a handsome house on a quiet road. What makes it special is behind it: the lawn running down to Mobile Bay. That doesn’t come across from the ground, so drone photography carried the location. We shot the front with the bay in the background, then the bay side to show the double porches facing the water.

Inside: every room a guest or buyer will ask about

The interior set follows the inn the way a guest moves through it: the entrance, the living and dining rooms, the sunroom looking out at the bay, the guest rooms and the porches. Wherever a window faces the water, the view stays in the frame, so the bay shows up inside the house as well as outside.

Shooting a working inn that is also for sale

Emma’s Bayhouse is also on the market as a going business, and our aerial photos appear on its sale website. A buyer for an inn is looking at more than the guest rooms, so we covered the working parts too, like the commercial kitchen. That’s the difference between a hospitality shoot and a commercial real estate shoot: the buyer needs to see how the business runs.

Photo and video for inns, venues and rentals

If you run a bed and breakfast, an event venue or a vacation rental on the Gulf Coast, or you’re listing one for sale, we can cover it the same way: aerials, interiors and a video tour from one visit. Send us the property and what you need it for.
